Yesterday was the first day of spring and thought it is still a little cool outside, we know it is spring because it is also Eden's birthday and she reminds us that her birthday is on the first day of spring. Remembering Our Chicken Farming Days

Many years ago we owned a commercial chicken farm. I could tell you many stories about raising 125,000 chickens at one time, but I will save that for another day. Our homeschool group recently went on a field trip to the Georgia State Poultry Lab.

Therapy, Braces and a Cute Baby

This week started off with a trip to the orthodontist. Actually truth be told last week ended with a trip to the same office times four! Monday James started his adventure in orthodontics with a shiny set of top braces; complete with red rubber bands! It is hard to believe that he is 14 1/2 years old and the same height that I am.

People often ask my hubby and I if we grew up in large families or if we always wanted to have a lot of children. Each of us have one brother and while I have always wanted a large family, neither of us envisioned we would have a mega family of 15 children...not in our wildest dreams!

Adventures of Spot and Peggy Sue

This weekend we added a new couple to the farm....Spot and Peggy Sue. Spot is a little on the large size, somewhere over 600 pounds and Peggy Sue is a little more petite.
